5 YouTube Shorts Every Real Estate Agent Should Post This Week

I audited the top 6 real estate YouTube channels and none of them have a Shorts strategy. Here are the 5 Short types that fill that gap and generate leads in your local market.

I just presented at the Tom Ferry Miami Team Retreat, and I opened with an audit that shocked the room. I analyzed the top six real estate YouTube channels — Graham Stephan, Ryan Serhant, Meet Kevin, Tom Ferry, Kris Krohn, and BiggerPockets. Combined, they have over 11 million subscribers. And not a single one has a deliberate YouTube Shorts strategy.

That is your lane. And it will not stay open forever.

YouTube Shorts now generate over 200 billion daily views with a 5.91% engagement rate. The Gemini AI algorithm change on January 14, 2026 means Shorts now run on a separate algorithm — and your Shorts content literally trains the AI that answers buyer questions on Google. If you are a real estate agent not posting Shorts, you are invisible to the fastest-growing content format on the planet.

The 5 Shorts Types for Real Estate

After optimizing more than 500 YouTube channels, I have narrowed real estate Shorts down to five proven formats. Pick three. Rotate daily. That is your system.

1. Property Highlight (60-Second Walk-Through)

Walk in, highlight one standout room or feature, walk out. That is it. Do not try to show the entire house — save that for your long-form tour. The Short should create curiosity, not satisfy it.

Format: Open on the exterior, walk to the best room, deliver one wow-factor line, end with "Full tour on my channel." Keep it under 45 seconds for optimal retention.

Hook example: "This kitchen has something I have never seen in a $400K home..."

2. Price Reveal

What does $X get you in [your city]? This format has one of the highest engagement rates in real estate because everyone wants to know what their money buys in different markets.

Format: Strong hook ("What does $500K get you in Austin?"), quick walk-through of 2-3 rooms, price reveal, clear call to action. The reveal creates dopamine — use it.

These Shorts work especially well for agents targeting relocation buyers searching from out of state.

3. Neighborhood in 60 Seconds

Quick hits: local vibe, key amenities, school info, plus one surprise fact that only a local would know. This positions you as the neighborhood expert — which is exactly how Gemini AI categorizes your authority.

Format: Film at 2-3 locations in the neighborhood. Name it in the first 3 seconds. Give the essential facts. End with the surprise: "And here is something Zillow will never tell you about this neighborhood..."

4. Market Stat of the Day

One compelling statistic, one key takeaway, one reason to call you. This is your fastest Short to produce — you can film it at your desk in 90 seconds.

Format: Face to camera. "Here is today's market stat that every buyer in [city] needs to know..." Deliver the number. Explain what it means. End with: "If you want to know how this affects your specific situation, link in bio."

This is pure authority building. When buyers see you delivering market data consistently, you become the trusted source — not Zillow, not Redfin, you.

5. Agent Tip / Myth Bust

"Everyone thinks X, but here is the truth..." This format builds authority because you are correcting misconceptions — positioning yourself as the expert who sees what others miss.

Format: Start with the myth. Pause for one beat. Then deliver the truth with confidence. Example: "Everyone thinks you need 20% down to buy a house. Here is the truth — you can close with as little as 3% in most markets, and here is how..."

The Content System: How Many and How Often

Here is the exact system I recommend in our YouTube strategy program:

Minimum: 1 long-form video per week + 5 Shorts per week

Goal: 1 long-form video per week + 15 Shorts per week (3 per day)

For a team of 10 agents at goal pace, that is 640 pieces of content per month feeding the algorithm. But even the minimum — 1 long-form plus 5 Shorts — puts you ahead of 95% of agents in your market.

Remember the reframe: Shorts are the billboard. Long-form is the showroom. You need both. Shorts deliver the audience. Long-form builds the business. I break down the full dual-channel strategy in Crazy Simple YouTube.

Use AI to Produce Shorts in 45 Minutes

The biggest objection is always time. "I cannot produce 15 Shorts a week." Yes you can. Here is the AI stack that cuts production from 3-4 hours to 45 minutes:

  • OpusClip — auto-clips your long-form video into Shorts-ready segments
  • Canva AI — generates thumbnails and overlay graphics instantly
  • Claude — writes compelling captions and descriptions
  • Claude Code — can edit video directly from your terminal

AI removes every excuse. The only barrier left is the decision to start. Want a personalized Shorts strategy for your market? Request a free YouTube audit and we will build your 90-day content calendar.
